Learn and discover in the ideal outdoor classroom: over 275 different tree
and shrub species, a large conifer collection, natural areas, and gardens
that feature show-stopping plant combinations and historic landscape design.
For indoor gatherings, the Carriage House serves as a welcoming educational center.
 

PROGRAMS, WORKSHOPS & EVENTS:
We provide a wide array of educational programs for adults and families. Education in ornamental horticulture, botanical sciences, and history is provided through lectures, workshops, garden walks, and hands-on classes given by Blithewold staff and leading regional professionals. Please take a look at our current education offerings.

Blithewold also sponsors popular youth camps during the summer and spring vacation weeks, giving children the opportunity to learn about the interaction of plants, animals, humans and the environment.

We welcome you to explore the story of Blithewold’s landscape, its gardens, and its amazing collection of plants through a self-guided tour where you will find informative signs throughout the grounds and brochures to take home.
