Afternoon Tea in the Mansion - 1:30 p.m., Fri., April 22
Reserve your Table for Tea at Blithewold
Walk the grounds, tour the mansion and then join us in the Dining room for a lovely afternoon treat. Blithewold's informal Tea features our own custom-blended tea served alongside sweet and savory items including one of our favorite bites -- Bristol Bakery's scrumptious scone!
For the first time we're taking a limited amount of reservations for each seating. Your reservation can only be made using this website (please, no calls). Please click on the "sign up for this" link above.
PLEASE NOTE: If you don't see the "sign up for this" link at the top of the page, it's because of one of the two reasons listed below.
- We stop taking reservations one day before the Tea so that we can arrange the dining room accordingly.
- Or, guests have made reservations for the portion of the dining room that has been set aside for reserved seating.
But don't worry, we are saving some seats to accommodate walk-ins for each Tea. Those seats will be given on a first come, first served basis. Or, you could make a reservation for another day!
The price for Tea includes admission to the Gardens & Mansion.

Lily has to be one of the most overused descriptors in horticulture. I’m asked often enough to name my favorite plant and season that it’s a little strange that hardly anyone* ever asks which is my favorite garden. Not that I could possibly pick a favorite (the pollinator garden). But since I featured the Rose Garden (my other favorite) last week, I can’t let this week go by without giving Blithewold’s pièce de […]

Thank goodness for rainy days. Without them, we stay outside and never get around to tidying the potting shed, defrosting the fridge, or keeping up with the paperwork. (Not to mention how happy the gardens are after a good downpour.) I’m grateful too that Betsy worked on the blog last week because aside from the pleasure of seeing Blithewold’s gardens […]
