Afternoon Tea in the Mansion - 3 p.m., Wed., April 27

WHEN: Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 3:00PM - 4:00PM
WHERE: Blithewold's Dining Room

Reserve your Table for Tea at Blithewold

Walk the grounds, tour the mansion and then join us in the Dining room for a lovely afternoon treat. Blithewold's informal Tea features our own custom-blended tea served alongside sweet and savory items including one of our favorite bites -- Bristol Bakery's scrumptious scone!

For the first time we're taking a limited amount of reservations for each seating. Your reservation can only be made using this website (please, no calls). Please click on the "sign up for this" link above.

PLEASE NOTE:
If you don't see the "sign up for this" link at the top of the page, it's because of one of the two reasons listed below.

  • We stop taking reservations one day before the Tea so that we can arrange the dining room accordingly.
  • Or, guests have made reservations for the portion of the dining room that has been set aside for reserved seating.

But don't worry, we are saving some seats to accommodate walk-ins for each Tea. Those seats will be given on a first come, first served basis. Or, you could make a reservation for another day!

The price for Tea includes admission to the Gardens & Mansion.

  • Adults $22
  • AAA $21

I’d prefer to think that the season is in transition rather than ending but when we start throwing some of summer’s best blooms into the bed of Blithewold’s truck, it definitely feels more like a goodbye than a see-you-later. This week, once again, the rain and a woolly nor’easter held off just long enough for […]
  • Celebrating Our Arboretum (Oct 23, '14)
There’s something very new and exciting going on this year in Blithewold’s Visitor’s Center during Christmas at Blithewold. Gail Read, Gardens Manager, Kris Green, Interpretive Horticulturist, and Betsy Ekholm, Horticulturist, have partnered with the garden volunteers to design a display to Celebrate Our Arboretum. Essentially, they are pulling different natural features from throughout the Grounds, preserving […]
  • A rabbit’s eye view with Noel Kingsbury (Oct 17, '14)
We are so lucky that yesterday’s rain held off just long enough to take a ground-level tour of Blithewold’s gardens with British garden designer/plantsman/author, Noel Kingsbury. He showed us, plant by plant, exactly what to look for to help predict how different plants will behave in our gardens. He reminded us that plant growth falls along […]
