Afternoon Tea at Blithewold-Second Seating

WHEN: Thursday, December 01, 2011 at 3:00PM - 4:00PM
WHERE: Blithewold Dining Room

Join us for a lovely afternoon treat during the hectic holiday season. Blithewold's informal tea includes our custom-blended tea served alongside sweet and savory items, including Bristol Bakery's scrumptious scones.

Teas will be held during the week from Tuesday through Friday. There are two seatings each day, with tea times at either 1:30 pm or 3 pm. The teas are not suitable for very young children. Price for tea is $12 per person, plus regular admission. Tickets will be sold inside the mansion.

We're taking a limited amount of reservations for each seating. Your reservation can only be made using this website (please, no calls). Please click on the "sign up for this" link above. PLEASE NOTE: If you don't see the "sign up for this" link at the top of the page, it's because of one of the two reasons listed below. We stop taking reservations one day before the Tea so that we can arrange the dining room accordingly. Or, guests have made reservations for the portion of the dining room that has been set aside for reserved seating. But don't worry, we are saving some seats to accommodate walk-ins for each Tea. Those seats will be given on a first come, first served basis. Or, you could make a reservation for another day!

He showed us, plant by plant, exactly what to look for to help predict how different plants will behave in our gardens. He reminded us that plant growth falls along […]
  • Christmas at Blithewold “You Are Invited” (Oct 13, '14)
Although Blithewold is closing to the public this week, it is anything but quiet around the Mansion. We are now preparing to get the Mansion dressed up for Christmas! It is a bit hard to imagine a snowy winter in the midst of this crisp fall weather, but our decorating volunteers have been prepping and […]
  • Moving into fall (Oct 10, '14)
It was chilly this morning. No frost yet (perish the thought — our average first frost date falls in early November) but night temperatures in the forties are definitely giving us a taste of what’s to come along with a chance to acclimatize, and a good reason to pull sweaters out of summer storage. And after […]
