WHERE: Blithewold Dining Room

RESERVED SEATS ARE SOLD OUT- WALK-IN SEATS AVAILABLE AND WILL BE SEATED ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS

Join us for a lovely afternoon treat during the hectic holiday season. Blithewold's informal tea includes our custom-blended tea served alongside sweet and savory items, including Bristol Bakery's scrumptious scones.

Teas will be held during the week from Tuesday through Friday. There are two seatings each day, with tea times at either 1:30 pm or 3 pm. The teas are not suitable for very young children. Price for tea is $12 per person, plus regular admission. Tickets will be sold inside the mansion.

We're taking a limited amount of reservations for each seating. Your reservation can only be made using this website (please, no calls). Please click on the "sign up for this" link above. PLEASE NOTE: If you don't see the "sign up for this" link at the top of the page, it's because of one of the two reasons listed below. We stop taking reservations one day before the Tea so that we can arrange the dining room accordingly. Or, guests have made reservations for the portion of the dining room that has been set aside for reserved seating. But don't worry, we are saving some seats to accommodate walk-ins for each Tea. Those seats will be given on a first come, first served basis. Or, you could make a reservation for another day!

  • Learn something new — on fertilization (Jan 23, '15)
When we get busy I’m apt to forget my quest to learn something new every day. And it’s a treat whether I’m learning something totally […]
  • What to do when it’s January-ish (Jan 16, '15)
So far, to me, this winter has not seemed as winter-ish as winter usually is. Of course, I’m knocking wood as I say that. Although I love the way a good layer of snow blankets the landscape (and insulates our plants), I’m grateful to not have to shovel or trudge over and through giant banks […]
