Kids Sailing Appreciation Class
Kids Sailing Appreciation
Saturday, June 2, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
For children in grades 4 – 7
$15 Member Children, $20 Non-member Children
Growing up so close to the water, it is important for area children to be familiar with all aspects of our local culture: sailing. Sailing was always a favorite summer activity at Blithewold, and that is why we are offering children in grades 4 – 7 the opportunity to join us for a “dry” classroom session. Although they won’t be going out in boats, they will learn basic sailing theory and knot tying. Led by experienced sailing instructor Joanne Murrman, the kids will spend the day making compass roses, symbol flags, knot boards, and more!
