Holiday Music Performance in the Living Room: Nancy Hood, Mezzo Soprano, with Marilyn Hambly, Pianist
“Songs for the Season” with Nancy Hood, mezzo-soprano and Marilyn Hambly, keyboard. Nancy Hood, mezzo-soprano, is a classically trained vocalist with many years of performing solo and small ensemble concerts in the Boston area and Rhode Island. Her Christmas at Blithewold programs include an eclectic mix of carols, American southern harmony and spirituals, classical pieces and popular songs for the season. With a rich velvet” voice like a good vintage wine” she draws an enthusiastic audience. Marilyn Hambly, keyboard, is church organist at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Portsmouth, RI. She was accompanist for East Bay Chorus and is a retired music teacher. Their performance begins at 3:00pm. Mansion closes at 5pm.
