Sculpture Embraces Horticulture

August - October 2014

This summer, six regionally known sculptors will create original installations in Blithewold's Gardens. Rhode Island sculptor and RISD graduate, Allison Newsome, will curate the three-month outdoor sculpture show.

Follow the sculptors through their creative process and get a preview of what's coming to Blithewold this summer click here to visit the Sculpture Embraces Horticulture web page.

There will also be Sculpture Embraces Horticulture Intimate Tours of the exhibit, guided by curator Allison Newsome. As part of a small and informal group, discover the story behind Sculpture Embraces Horticulture, a site-specific sculpture exhibit created to highlight Blithewold’s exquisite landscape. As we go through the entire collection, Allison will share information about each artist, as well as give us a glimpse into the process of creating a large-scale sculpture installation.
