Camp Sequoia 2025 Week 1, Day 3: Capturing Our Stories

We are stuck in between all kinds of weather this week! We started the day by making a comic story. The campers wrote many stories that were based on a true story. Then we went outside to play with a parachute. The campers played a few rounds of Cat and Mouse before switching to a tag game. They have been having a lot of fun running around the trees on the property! Next, we ate lunch and had free play. There have been some very intense soccer games during free play but the campers have great sportsmanship. After lunch, we read a story that had four more stories within it! The campers learned about how to make dialogue in a story using speech bubbles. Then, it was time to make the flags for Capture the Flag. The campers were split into two teams. They had some time to make their flags and team names. Then, it was off to the Enclosed Garden for game time. They had an awesome game and in the final round all the campers tried to beat our counselors in training. It was great to see how well they all played together. Tomorrow they will be trying new things in the veggie garden with Ms. Becca! Check out the pictures from today!
