Camp Sequoia 2025 Week 4, Day 2: The Hottest Day at Camp
Today was a hot one! We started the day by making crinkle paper art. Then Ms. Joanne came to teach an art lesson for the week. Today, we drew pictures of our feet in the sand. The campers included their favorite sea creatures or other things they might find at the beach. Then, we went back to camp for lunch and free play. After lunch, we spent a long time inside. We started reading the Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast series and the campers were hooked. We will finish reading the series over the week. After we read some of the books, the campers were able to make up a story of their own about the main characters: Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast. They were excited about this and wanted to share their versions with everyone! Then, we allowed them to go outside for just twenty minutes to play a game of Sharks and Minnows. Finally, we came inside to end the day with a snack and campfire. After campfire the campers played a game of statues. The last day of the heatwave is tomorrow. Check out the photos from today!
