Blithewold’s largest fundraiser, the gala, takes place every other summer usually the 2nd Saturday in August.
The semi-formal dinner dance attracts more than 400 East Bay residents and Rhode Island business leaders for an evening of celebration. Funds raised through ticket sales and auctions go towards the preservation of Blithewold’s historic structures and landscape features.

Please join us at Blithewold’s August 10, 2024 “Artisans” Gala honoring long-time supporters Betty & Joe Brito, Jr. of Bristol, RI.
This premiere fundraising gala brings together more than 350 supporters for a fun night under the tent to enjoy a four-course meal catered by Blackstone Caterers, a live and silent auction, and dancing to the sounds of Decades by DeZyne, a 12 piece show band that has been performing for over twenty-five years throughout New England.
Cocktail Party: 6 PM – 7:30 PM
Dinner and Dancing: 7:30 – 11 PM

Funds raised will support the preservation and restoration of Blithewold’s Water and Rock Garden, specifically engineering and landscaping work to alleviate flooding and restore areas of the gardens lost to saltwater encroachment over the last decade.
