Cross-Cultural Connections: West Meets East at North Farm
Cross-Cultural Connections: West Meets East at North Farm
Monday, April 30
11 am – 1 pm
While George Rogers Hall of Bristol is well known in horticultural circles as the first American importer of Japanese plants to the United States, his gardening has received little attention. Join Sara Butler, Professor of Art and Architectural History at Roger Williams University, to explore the career and gardens of the pioneering 19th-century plant collector who built botanical bridges between East and West and transformed the fabric of American gardens.
Tea and scones will be served after the presentation.
Members $7, Nonmembers $15
