Explore the many varieties of pickled goodness and learn how to make your own fruit roll-ups! Participants will learn some of the best techniques and recipes for drying and pickling fruits & veggies.
This will be a hands-on workshop where you make, taste and even take home a jar of pickles.

Jamming and Freezing

Jam can be made from fruits, of course, but did you know that some vegetables make delicious jams as well? Learn to make jam using traditional canning methods as well the quick, instantly gratifying refrigerated and freezing methods. This will be a hands-on workshop where you make, taste and even take home a jar of jam!

Start learning the ancient art of using microorganisms to preserve fruits and vegetables to create healthy food and drink. Sourdough bread, beer, wine, kimchi and hard cheese are some examples of fermented foods. Learn to prepare a few fermented foods such as sauerkraut and kombucha and take some home to enjoy!
