When Marjorie Lyon left Blithewold estate to the Heritage Foundation of Rhode Island in 1976, she envisioned a property to be conserved and enjoyed by the public in perpetuity. Forty years later, Blithewold Inc. works ardently to maintain and improve the House and Grounds so visitors can continue to be entertained and delighted by the property in the many ways she imagined.
