Week Four, Day Five: Pirate Day

Pirate Day was a blast! We started the day by making cards for nursing homes, our community service project for August. Then the campers had fun making a pirate ship. After that, we visited Julia in the Vegetable Garden. We played a game after snack that the CITs planned. We headed back to camp to create the pirate ships that we would race at the end of the day. Next, we had a mysterious book show up at camp. It was called the Pirates of Blithewold. It started our journey to find the lost treasure of the pirates of Blithewold. The campers saw many pirates along the way and had to fight them off to keep on their journey for gold. We ended at the beach with a treasure chest and pirate boat racing. See the crew from today!
