Week Seven, Day Four: The Last Clean Ocean Access Meeting

The weather has been in our favor! We made water bottle birds this morning with tissue paper. Then we went outside for a quick snack before our last lesson with clean ocean access. The campers learned all about how to compost and why it benefits the environment. The campers participated in the process of beginning a bin. They had to rip and wet newspaper. They also sifted worms out of the dirt. We used the premade compost in the new garden in our camp backyard. After that, we walked to the great lawn for a race before lunch. In the afternoon, we built houses. The campers were very creative, making elaborate fairy houses and mansions. We will finish them up tomorrow. We can’t believe it is the last day of camp tomorrow. Don’t forget about the summer party tomorrow!
